Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 26, 2026
Welcome to BPlus ("BPlus", "we", "us", or "our"). BPlus operates the BPlus mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. By using BPlus you agree to this policy.
Our approach in one line: BPlus is built to be private. You don't need an account, and your blood-pressure history is stored on your device — not on our servers.
1. Information you enter (stored on your device)
Blood-pressure readings (systolic, diastolic, pulse/BPM, arm, date/time, notes), medications, reminders, goals and related health information you add are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, sell, or have access to this data. It stays on your phone unless you choose to back it up, sync it, or export it (see below).
2. Camera "Scan" feature
If you use the optional Scan feature, the App captures a photo of your own blood-pressure monitor's display and sends that image to a secure cloud service operated on Google Cloud / Firebase to read the numbers (optical character recognition). This image is processed only to extract the reading, is not used to identify you, and is not retained for longer than needed to return the result. Access to this service is protected (e.g., app attestation). BPlus does not measure blood pressure from your body — it only reads the numbers shown on your own device.
3. Health app integrations (optional)
If you enable it, BPlus can read from and write to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). This happens only with your explicit permission and stays under your control through your device's health settings. Data shared through Health integrations is governed by Apple's or Google's terms. We do not use your Health data for advertising.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
If you buy a subscription or in-app purchase, the transaction is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and managed through RevenueCat (a subscription-management service). These providers receive purchase details and a pseudonymous app/user identifier to validate and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details.
5. Diagnostic and device information
The App and the app stores may collect limited technical information (such as device type, OS version, and crash/diagnostic data) to keep BPlus working and to fix problems. This is not used to identify you personally.
6. Information we do NOT collect
- No account, name, or login is required to use the App.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use your health data for advertising or share it with advertisers.
7. How we use information
We use the information solely to: provide the App's features; process the Scan reading; sync with Health apps when you enable it; validate purchases; and maintain, secure, and improve the App.
8. Sharing
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the features above (the cloud OCR provider, RevenueCat, and the App Store / Google Play / Health platforms), and where required by law. We do not sell your data.
9. Data retention and security
Your readings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Scan images are processed transiently and not retained to identify you. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit (e.g., encryption) and access controls on our cloud services. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Your choices and rights
- Access / deletion: because your data lives on your device, you can view, edit, or delete any reading in the App, and remove all data by deleting the App.
- Health permissions: you can revoke Health/Health Connect access at any time in your device settings.
- Depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Because we don't hold your readings on our servers, most of these you exercise directly on your device; for anything we do process (e.g., purchase records), contact us at support@bloodpressuremonitor.app.
11. Children's privacy
BPlus is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
12. International users
The cloud services used for the Scan feature and purchases may process data in other countries. By using those features you consent to such processing consistent with this policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued use of BPlus after changes means you accept the updated policy.
